About Rachel
Realizing that I wanted the education and training to address the underlying emotional issues that impact our relationship with food, I chose to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University to complement my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Maryland, College Park. I have worked in hospitals in New York and Washington DC, caring for individuals with a variety of medical conditions from diabetes and infectious disease to cancer and celiac disease, among others. As a registered dietitian, licensed professional counselor, and certified intuitive eating counselor, I work with people of all ages struggling with disordered eating, body image, and self-esteem issues, and eating disorders ranging from Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) using a Non-Diet, Health at Every Size® approach.
Having lived abroad in Africa and a love for traveling the globe to Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South East Asian, and South America, I feel equipped to help families of varying cultures, religions, and traditions meet their nutritional needs.
I’m excited to hear from you!
